16 ounce can from brewery. Hazy yellow gold color. Large pillowy white head. Aroma of yeasty bread, cut grass and lemon peel. Flavor follows nose. Hay, lemon, rustic bread and a bit of mild funk. Quite peppery on back end. Truly refreshing.

Can shipped, stuck in customs(?) for a while, so about 1 month old. Some of these cans popped out the bottom, showing how much pressure is on them. Some refermentation gone to far, perhaps? The non-popped can I sampled, poured as a glass of very stable foam. Upon waiting for it to fade a bit, the aroma shows a lot of the saison phenols, but has a candy side to it, a rich fruityness, reminding of peach. Its just a touch though; as the hops used give the elegant noble hop aroma that's very well recgonizable. The 'peach' is a bit odd, which is why I must notice it. Taste is quite sharp, medium bitter (honestly expected more bitterness from alchemist) . Beautifull hoparoma - or what did you expect - from the noble hops. Ends not 100% dry, I can see how dupont must have been an influence for that, and it maintains a mild fruity aroma that reminds me of peach. High carbonation, but it suits the beer well. Lovely saison, not the most complex in terms of yeastphenols, not as typical as some others (de ranke! ) , yet very, very enjoyable and recognizable in style. Surprisingly balanced, whilst still showing the hop-forward way of brewing that is the alchemist. Super easy drinkable, the ABV is as hidden as it could be.

From Brian, thanks: pours pale yellow with a white head. Aroma is spicy and yeasty. Taste is spicy, lightly sweet, light bitterness. Some aftertaste. Solid saison.

Tap. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is wheat, dough, spicy yeast, white pepper. Taste is the same, quite a nice peppery yeast finish. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Decent!
