Bottle from Gulating. Slightly unclear golden body with a big, foamy head leaving lacing curtains on the glass. Aroma has pale malt, ripe peach, pine, grass and green hop pellets. Taste is medium sweet, pale malt, grass, pine, some ripe fruit and hint of honey. Medium body and rather bitter finish with a little hop burn. Well, this is a session kind of old school IPA that seems to really wants to be a classic IPA but don’t want to be too fruity nor malty. The result feels like a beer with much pilsner malt and piny hops. I really appreciate the idea of not just making another easy drinkable pale malty beer with tons of citric/grapefruit aroma but on the other hand this will have been a more refreshing beer. Anyway it’s a refreshing, not very complicating beer that probably goes well to the football match.
