Diese feinaromatische Bierspezialität entstand nach einem Rezept der Gebrüder Deinlein von 1898. In jener guten alten Zeit, in der Arbeit schwer, Bier dunkel und das Leben ein klein wenig langsamer war. Der dunkle Farbton mit einem zarten Schimmer rührt von verschiedenen Malzen und der traditionellen Herstellung her. Vollmundige Aromen, eine unterstreichende und dezente Bittere und ein vollmundiger Nachtrunk machen dieses Bier zu einem echten Erlebnis.

500ml bottle. Clear ruby red glowing brown colour with average, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Dark malty aroma with a touch of milk chocolate, some grainy overtones. Taste is dry dark malty, minimally grassy hoppy overtones, cautious hints of chocolate. Not bad.

Bottle looks quite simple. Beer in the glass dark, not black, nice head. Starts wonderful soft-malty, interesting notes of caramel and chocolate, modest dry. Finish milder, still soft-malty. Great!

bottle from wastl - thanks! Clear brown colour, large off-white head. Aroma of roasetd malts. Lots of roasetd malts, shy hints of caramel and toffee fudge, also raisins and nuts. Dry finish with a touch of aromatic hops.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Reddish-amber coloured with a small persistent off-white foamy layer, complex sweet-fruity nose with traces of roasted malt, coffee and molasses, covering some aromatic hops; not very sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; a bit dryer fruity-caramelly finish with traces of toasted malt and a light bitterness palatinal. A quite complex, very pleasant brew...........

(swing top bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a big and quite persistent beige foamy head. Sweet toast-malty, slightly nutty nose with cacao, notes of caramel and a noticeable herbal hoppy background. Moderately sweet flavour with a balanced bitterness, light to medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Solid toast-malty taste with notes of chocolate/cacao and caramel; almost dry, sweet-bitter toasty finish with an aromatic hoppy blend. Good.
