Bright golden coloured with a thin white head. Resembles Old Peculier but is toned down. The same in taste but body is much lighter. It has a toffee, peppery hop and slight, musty ginger flavour with citrus notes on the smooth, grapefuity and floral finish. Not bad.

Cask at Bear & Billet, Chester. Pours golden amber with minimal foamy almost white head. Just fome floral hops in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet and juicy with apples very much to the fore, alongside floral hops, summer fruits and traces of citrus and yeast. The pple dominance lasts into the slightly dry finish. This is an unusual and interesting beer – not sure it’s really an IPA but it doesn’t really fit any other style either. I quite like it, but I can tell some others wont.

Keg at Blue's Smokehouse, Bracknell. Low key fruity malt aroma. Dark brown. Slightly hazy. Decent creamy off-white head. Light bitter. Malty. The malts really overshadow any hops. Some dark fruits. Light-mesium bodied. Slick. Flat. Abrupt finish. It's OK. Was half expecting it to be aliased to Old Peculair.

Keg at the Fox & Hounds, West Burton. Is this "craft" beer for Yorkshire village pubs? It was even brought out in a stemmed glass! Whatever it's meant to be, it's not very good. It's got a generic fruity berry flavour, a little caramel, and a metallic aftertaste. There's nothing craft, peculiar or IPA about it (despite the stemmed glass) - it's just bland and forgettable.

On keg at Robin Hood Aughton - clear amber thicm lasting head. A bit of a gusher. Nose is a bit bland but taste holds up well in the hop stakes. Bit maltier than expected. Good rounded mouthful.
