Bottle at Craig's - big thanks to the host! It pours deep ruby brown with no head. The aroma is sweet, oily, sticky, dried fruits, cherry, prune, fruit pie, toasted almond, wood and spice. The taste is slick, oily, sticky, red fruits, cherry pie, honey, boozy warmth, fruit liqueur, touch of spice and cake with a warming finish. Oily and boozy. Lacks a bit of clarity perhaps (probably due to all those random adjuncts!). Fun to try nonetheless.

Bottle courtesy of Craig, consumed and shared with Craig and Stella at home, Wednesday 8th August 2018. Pours red, sweet a touch syrupy, clings to the teeth. Apparently there is coffee, if so it's very mellow, as is the chilli but it's very good, really nice, soft good but lacks a little when compared to the Marion. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7

Bottle sample. [ As Superstition Amante ].Clear medium to dark red brown colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy honey, light to moderate coffee - cocoa beans, light sharp fresh chili fruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, honey, cake, cinnamon, cocoa nibs, light light chili warm. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20171209] 7-3-8-4-14

(Tap sample @ Omnipollos Hatt, Feb 24/18, cheers ansalon for the share) Pours dark brown with no head. Aroma of sweet honey mixed with lots of roasty coffee, soft chocolate, caramel, fruity undertones, soft spicebox. Flavour sweet dark caramel and honey mixed with lots of roasty, somewhat bitter coffee, a little chocolate, light chili without heat, cinnamon very retiring. Flavour semi-sweet plus. Medium body, bit of sticky sugary feel, flat. Solid as all Superstition products are, but I struggle a touch with the mix of coffee and mead as usual.

Tap at Hatten. Dark brown with no head. Sweet honey, cocoa powder, chocolate covered cherry. Some dry woody chile, without the heat. A bit sticky sweetness, needs something to contradict the overpowering sweet chocolate. Pretty good though.

1lt flip top pours out a amber ruby color. Nose is nice honey spice heat some candy notes and a cinnamon aswell. Taste is more of the nice sweet candy honey spice peppers.

Many thanks to SinH4 for sharing! A clear orange brown colour. Aroma of strong riped fruits, honey, caramel, coffee. Taste of sweet coffee, strong honey, spices, caramel, nice!

Sample. Pours clear amber. Aroma is caramel, toffee, cocoa, chili indeed. Body is heavy, spicy and sweet, cinnamon, pepper peel, chili, but not spicy at all. Like a christmas mead, works well.

Murky brown without head. Aroma is chocolate, cacao, caramel, walnut cake, Taste is walnut cake and cacao nibs. Light on the tongue but also oily and slight buttery. Perfectly balanced. Very nice.
