Bottle sample, many thanks cgarvieuk and FinnIckler! Brown-ruby color with no head. Aroma is coffee, cinnamon, chili, chocolate, candi sugar. Taste is cinnamon, chili flesh, (but no hotness at all!) chocolate, coffee. Oily mouthfeel! Skandalously drinkable for a 13% mead, but it needs some hotness to be a killer mead if you ask me.

Nose is raspberry, apple, peach. Palate is sweet and spicy, strawberry, raspberry. Good, a bit underwhelming though, I was constantly waiting for the spicyness.

4 oz. draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Boston, 23 September, 17. Drity murkey brown color. Smelled fine, bourbon, earthy coffee, chili peppers. Yeah, the flavor just didn't work well together for me for some reason. Had a strange wood, earthy, pepper, mild spice in the finish. No, just not for me at all.

Bottle shared with the KL tasting crew. Thanks CT. Poured a clear burgundy colour with little life. The aroma is sweet cinnamon which completely dominates. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a smooth rich oily, fruit, honey, cinnamon light spicy coffee palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation.

On tap at Mostra Anniversary. Pours a hazy copper with no head. The aroma is strong chili pepper, honey, pure sugar, wood. Medium body, cocoa, roast, peppers, brown sugar, nice sweetness, very good.

750ml swing top bottle pours with a dark mahogany colored body that has deep ruby red hues and then tosses up some nice legs. The aroma offers up highly toasted bread drizzled with honey and adjacent to a fresh rich cup of coffee. Another sip reveals thick dark roasted coffee, chocolate and then more lightly roasted coffee toward the end of the draw. The taste delivers smooth sweet rich soft honey and then growing into more and more dark roasted coffee. To midway chocolate shows up amid persistent coffee and spicy flash of cinnamon spice. Solid
