Cask at Idle Valley Taproom in Retford - clear gold, solid lacing white head. Creamy ice cream style body, sweeter lemon and vanilla touches, slight bitterness at the end.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a small foamy off-white head and excellent lacing. The aroma is a mix of biscuits. Citrus and floral hops. In the mouth it varies between sweet and bitter (with a slight preference for the former) and a creamy texture. The flavour has floral hops, biscuits and hints of ginger and spice. After a while these are joined by traces of malts and grapefruit. Finish is dry and slightly spicy. This is decent.

Half-pint, cask, shared with Finn, after breakfast at Ritz. Misty golden body, dissipating white head, fair lacing. Moderate aromas of citrus, a bit mealy. Doughy fruity taste, hints of orange. A touch of resinous bitterness to the finish. Satisfying. (Lincoln 30.01.2020).
