Taster, one-third pint from keg at Brewhouse & Kitchen in Hoxton. Patchy surface, black in the glass, spotty lacing. Roasted malty aromas with chocolate notes. Black malty taste, moments of chocolate, dough, and biscuit, vague notes of sulfur towards a roasted finish. Satisfying. (London 10.01.2019).

Keg at the brewpub. An opaque black coloured pour with a a creamy tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, woody coffee bean, vanilla, light wood tannin. Flavour is composed of semi sweet brown malts, woody, light ashy roast. Little meaty in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, highihs carbonation. Not bad.
