Here’s a record that’s still to be broken. Picture this, it’s 1971 and Bournemouth are playing Margate in the FA Cup. Ted McDougall, a Bournemouth footballer, is set for one of the best games of his life. In this one game, he scored 9 goals – the most goals ever scored in an FA Cup! This incredible achievement dubbed him ‘Supermac’ and placed him in the same league as some of the footballing greats of today! As Supermac now lives in the USA, coaching the Atlanta Silverbacks, we’ve honoured him with this American Amber Ale!

Third, cask ale at Brewhouse & Kitchen. Shared with Finn. Clear copper brown body, stable fawn-coloured head, spotty lacing. Moderate aromas of caramel and earth. Dark malt driven taste of nuts, earth and caramel, hints of fruit towards the ending, lightly roasted. Fair enough. (Bournemouth 22.10.2019).
