Being a Kent brewery, we have the privilege of being able to brew beers with fresh "green" hops during harvest time. The hops have to be used within a few hours of picking as they begin to oxidise very quickly. This season we have brewed with Ernest hops to produce our award-winning Pole Dancer.

ERNEST
Hukins Hops, Tenterden
From Ross Hukin's award winning hop farm in St Michaels near Tenterden, Ernest is one of our all time favourites and features in our best selling Session Pale Ale. It has clear 'New World' characteristics producing a complex flavour with predominantly fruity notes, especially apricot, citrus and spice and when used fresh, is pretty special!

Malts: Maris Otter, Munich, Flaked Barley
Hops: Ernest

Gravicask third, at the Groombridge train station, Spa Valley 9th Beer & Cider Festival. Shared with Finn. Clear warn golden body, spotty lacing from a dissipating white head. Smell of fresh fruity hops. The taste profile exhibit fruity hops including peaches and citrus. Good leafy bitterness to the ending. Refreshing. (Tunbridge Wells 18.10.2019).
