Bottled (from Vinmonopolet@AIH128). Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, caramelly and toffeeish with some mild spices and alcohol sweetness. Flavour is fruity, some toffee, mild clove as well as some mild alcohol. Quite a wellbalanced brew. A bit bananaish elements to it too.

Wells stored bottle tasted 4 months after best before date. Clear, dark amber body under a small, fast disappearing tan head. Fine aroma of dark malt, candy sugar and dry fruit. Taste is sweet with smooth brown malt, lots of dry fruit, some ripe red berries, vinous and warming alcohol. The Christmas spices seems to have almost disappeared during storage. Full bodied and long lasting aftertaste with lots of dry fruit. Quite straight forward BW, but tasty and well made, the storage seems to have given this much more vinous flavors than fresh version. Enjoyable.

500 ml bottle, batch #100314, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 11%. Nearly black colour, moderate to small beige head. Strong aroma of Christmas spices, not perfectly balanced, too much anise. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavour is medium sweet, again with strong notes of Christmas spices, and again: too much anise, otherwise the flavour balance is okay. Good malt body, plenty of caramel and brown kandij sugar. Slightly warming throatfeel.

Dark brown colour, small steady beige head. Aroma has candy sugar, figs, raisins. Medium-bodied. Dry front, then candy sugar and dark fruits, some alcohol. Simple quadrupel, finish is watery.

500ml bottle, batch 100244, bought at Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Deep dark ruby coloured body, lacing rings down the glass, bubbly beige head. Promising smell of prunes and dark malts. Quite well blended taste profile of prunes, bread, dark sugar and chocolate carefully spiced. Ends with mid-sweet dark malts, warming down the throat. Pretty good. (Tromsø 18.01.2020).
