Svart med brunt skum. Lukter havre, melasse og salt lakris. Fyldig. Smaker noe salt lakris, havre, mørk sjokolade og noe kaffe. Tykk. Tørr. Noe bitter middels lang avslutning.

On tap at the brewpub. A dense, finger-thick brown head forms over a close to black body. Nice curtains. The aroma feels sweetish and roasted, with licorice, molasses, some alcohol and hints of vanilla and lactose. It's full-bodied, sweet, lightly sticky, and smooth on the palate, with a little alcohol warmth. Sweetness-dominated flavor with molasses, licorice and some lactose and vanilla, as well as roasted malts. Some chocolate hints towards the very end. A quite nice pastry-ish Imperial Stout. 190607

Nedre Foss Gård 070619. Black color with a tan head. Flavor is molasses, cocoa, chocolate, roasted malt. Nice beer.

Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, toast, roasted grain, soil, bark, dark sugar, chocolate, caramel, lactose, minerals, weeds, hints of coffee. Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish roasted, dark sugar, roasted grain, toast, soil, bark, paper, minerals, hay, caramel, chocolate, harsh vanilla. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish roasted mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Draught at Nedre Foss Gård. Shared with Finn. Bubbles on the surface, black in the glass, minimal lacing. Inviting smell of cocoa chocolate. Solid taste of chocolate and cocoa on a backbone of molasses. Smooth, semi-sweet malty ending, lingering. Well bodied. Lovely sipper. (Oslo 04.12.2018).
