Gravicask at the 23rd St Albans Beer & Cider Festival. A deep ruby coloured body, naked surface, dotted spots on the glass. Rum-like nose, nicely spiced. Dark malty flavours, hints of rum, toffee and spices. Warming end, not overly sweet. Fine depth. Solid stuff. (Shared with Finn 27.09.2018).

28/9/2018. Cask at the St Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2018. Pours dark chestnut brown with a lasting off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, rum infused coffee, fruit, vanilla and light spiced rum. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Potent porter isn’t the best porter but adding some rum certainly improves it.
