On tap Patrick’s. An almost clear reddish brown beer with a creamy, finger thick beige head. Lacing. The aroma is rather delicious, with prunes, raisins, red apples, some roasted malts, hints of orange zest, a wonderful kveik-ish fruityness that is quite difficult to pin. There’s some resemblance to a Flandern red and brown as well. The flavor is pretty much the same, perhaps more in the bready, caramel way than the aroma, with less prunes and raisins. It’s super smooth and semi dry on the palate, with a lasting fruity finish. Yet another delicious beer from Voss. 161026

Patricks 141016. Red amber colour with a beige head. aroma is yeast, malt, rye, caramel. Flavour is sweet, yeast, malt, rye, caramel, raisin, dried fruits, sugar. Full body. Nice beer.

On tap @ Patricks. Almost clear, reddish amber with a medium sized tan head. Nice, strong aroma of sweetish malt, dry fruit, brown sugar and a little acidic touch. Flavor is sweet and have most of the same ingredients as aroma, sweet malt, rye bread, caramel, brown sugar and dry fruit. Almost too sweet, but saved by the acidity and ends up as a smooth and rich beer almost close to a barley wine. Full bodied and sweet, vinous aftertaste. Pretty solid one.

Klar mahognibrun med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter kaffe, røde bær, brent karamell, vanilje og melkesjokolade. Middels fylde. Søtlig. Lett bitterhet. Brent karamell og noe kaffe. Middels lengde

Small bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet grainy, rye, minerals, caramel malts, "knekk", yeast, bark, grass, sugar, overripe dark fruits. Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish, rye, sour grass, minerals, caramel, weeds, bark, sugar, yeast, overripe dark fruits, alcohol, "knekk". Medium bitterness, sweet and harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough, not really my cup of tea. Way too sweet, so just a small sampler is more than enough...
