This is not a new beer, cruzcampo glacial is just about serving the ordinary cruzcampo at a temperature where the indicator on the bottle changes color, or with draft, the beer is served very cold. However, i have now taken the opportunity to colling down a beer of Cruzcampo Nuevo punto glacial, to join the party. Served almost freezing. clear yellow, large smooth white head. Aroma is faint, but malty and somewhere between herbal hoppy and macro hoppy. not the worst macro aroma. Flavor is sweet malty, with a sweet leaning flowery hoppy note to it.

(Bottle, Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam, 1 March 2015) Golden colour with brief, frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, cereal and sweet corn. Malty, fruity taste with bread, peaches, cereal, corn and a gentle dusty bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Drinkable but forgettable.

Spanish macro lager with golden blonde colour and medium, snow white head; weak corny, grainy aroma with a faint whiff of grassy hops. Neutral taste, watery mouthfeel, grainy, faintly sweet with thin finish showing very low bitterness. Weak and totally boring, and certainly a ’pale lager’ instead of a ’Pilsener’ as which it is classified here.
