330 ml bottle. Pitch black body with a small, lacing, tan head. Aroma has roasted dark malt, coffee, chocolate, some dry fruit and a hint of alcohol. Flavor is medium sweet, medium roasted dark malt, dark chocolate, mild coffee, some caramel, dry fruit, balanced bitterness and warming alcohol. Fine balanced body and long lasting aftertaste with some warming alcohol. Did not noticed any Saison yeast in aroma nor flavor, but this is a very nice, solid and quite smooth Imp stout anyway.

On tap at Haand Festival. More or less black in the glass, topped by a dense, finger-thick light tan head. There’s some oak in the nose, with boozyness, roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Rather vinous in the mouth, dry and with a nice carbonation level. Roasted malts, chocolate and coffee and a faint touch of caramel and dried fruits. Lasting finish. An unusual and pleasant beer, showcasing that saison yeast can be used to more than the typical golden Belgian style saison. 150529

Taste is slightly sour-ish harsh, weeds, harsh grass, dark malts, alcohol, bark, burnt caramel, hay, sour coffee, yeast, hints of almond essence. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Meh!

A complete black liquid with a fine beige head. Ok lacing down the glass. Nice smooth aroma with some chocolate, roasted malt, coffee and yeast. Full body and a quite smooth soft carbonation. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Quite semi dry feeling. Lovely complex flavor. The saison yeast blends in just perfect. Coffee, roasted, a bit fruity, mild chocolate and a fine yeast profile in the flavor. One of The Best from Nøisom.

Bottle at Nisom, pours black with a medium tan head. Nose brings out dark fruits and light roast. Flavour brings out farmhouse yeast, dark fruits and roast. Quite dry and yeasty. A very creative take on an impie stout. Great one.
