Can at Valhalla Prague. Past BB date (so for dirt cheap). Murky yellow-amber body, white head. Soft, flowery, minerally spicy aroma, lovely apart from some light oxidation. Soft taste as well, peachy, light oxidized maltiness. Actually, quite okay, I liked it more than I probably should have, maybe the aging helped.

Can. A dense two-finger sized white head sits on top of a hazy golden body. The saison yeast has a good impact on the aroma, which is peppery, fruity and with a pleasant pale malt touch. Even a touch of, or impression of, funkyness going on. Citrus, grass, pale malts, a peppery spicyness, some biscuity pale malts, some banana and a decent bitterness in the flavor. Medium body, quite dry, and perhaps a bit heavy on the carbonation. Fruity, saison-yeasty finish with a very light funkyness. A pleasant saison indeed, well worth a re-visit. 200408

Bottle at No3, Mo i Rana as No3 Kronisk Norsk. Unclear golden body with a big white head. Aroma is refreshing with pale malt, yeast and esters, feels like a farmhouse ale in the nose. Flavor goes in the same direction, light malt, fruity esters, farmhouse. Very refreshing and reminds me a bit of Orval. Fine balanced body and smooth aftertaste with the same distinct farmhouse flavor. Quite impressive at this low alcohol, this one was a little local favorite during my three weeks stay in the neighborhood.
