First brewed in collaboration with Tim Anderson, beer geek and Master-chef Winner 2012, this beer is a bit of a mouthful. We take a big Citra and Amarillo, dry hopped IPA as a base and ferment it out with a German wheat beer yeast before adding lashings of Japanese Yuzu. Its a kaleidoscope of flavours and it compliments a whole host of South East Asian dishes. The combination of the distinctly sharp yuzu, the punchy citrusy hops and soft wheat beer body is a real winner if you like your beers to bold and full of interesting flavours.

Bottle shared at the Great British Beer Festival 2014, Day 4 - London. Pours cloudy yellow-gold with no head. Nice and juicy aroma with notes of lightly tangy citrus, tangerine, lemon. The flavor is a little awkward, with certain fusel notes, oily orange rind, light herbs. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes a little rindy and biter, with more lemony tang. Novel, but the condition is definitely lacking.

Bottle split at GBBF ’14, day 4, 15/08/14 thanks to Rilester. Murked up and hazed orange golden with a moderate off white swirl and edgeing. Nose is mango smoothie, spice, herbal notes, woody cedar-esque rinse, bitter yuzu come orange notes. Taste comprises orange pith, spice, herbal notes, mango pulp. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness and a spicy linger. Ok stuff - interesting!

Draft - Bright orange citrus rind and wheat. Cloudy yellow with a frothy whit head. Citric acid and an unpleasant overripe fruit and bitterness. Aroma held promise, but flavor is not good.

330ml bottle from Bottledog. Pours hazy orange with thin bubbly head. Fruity grapefruit aroma, taste is spice, yuzu, tangerine, chili, lemon juice, grapefruit and lime.. Not big into spicy beers but this straddles the fruitiness well enough for me.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; cloudy light orange pour with a tiny bubbly white head, orange and spice aroma, taste has spice wheat action that is well complimented by tangerine and grapefruit, a slight hint of clove, light citrus, carbonation is on the money for this style.
