Bottle at Beerville, New Belgrade. Shared with lovely Anja. Clear copper to brown, moderate lasting off-white head. Mostly cardboard and light peat, a touch of hops. Not to style. Smoked? Why is it smoked? Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, smoky finish with some leftover off-flavours. Is this the right style?

Bottle, shared @ Foeders with Markoijelena & Maakun, thanks Marko! Hazy brown color. Off white head. Aroma’s from the glass: sweet (red) fruit, caramel/toffee. Retronasal it’s quite different: smoky, sweetish, herbal, bitterish. Flavor is smoky, light sourish. Light bodied. A bit strange.

Bottle shared thanks to Markoijelena. Slight hazy dark amber with small beige head. Cloves, light smoke, dried plums, caramel, red berries, light bandaids. Strange for an alt because of the smoke (which is not really my thing). Light sweet and under medium bitter. Over light bodied.

On tap at Lakat, Zemun. Pours deep orange to brown with creamy white head. Good lacing. Medium bodied, creamy texture, bitterish finish. Malty, caramel, touch of smoke, some sweetness. Certainly not my favourite style, but this is a pleasant surprise. Well crafted.

Sampled @ BKL 2017. Klare orange braune Farbe, geringe beige Schaumkrone. Geruch dezent nach Schinken, rotes Malz. Geschmack süß malzig, Karamell, Schinken, okay.

Malzig herber Beginn, hintergründig angenehm hopfig. Steigend bitter, spritzig, die Malzigkeit gerät etwas in den Hintergrund, kann dann aber mit Karamellnoten punkten. 10/9/9/10//10

Tap. Dark amber color with off-white head. Aroma is ham, toffee, touch of prunes. Taste is ham, toffee fudge, but overall quite dry. Medium carbonation. A great combination!

On tap at Ministarstvo, Nis. After facing Carlsberg’s production in Serbia I was bit sceptical about something else from this country. But this is really nice surprise, rather smooth drinking, no bad taste. Okay beer to try.

Bottle in Vranovo/Serbia. Amber caramel semi clear color, off-white foam. Nose: uh! Caramel, mou, toffee, cane sugar, rhum. Joy! Mouth: ham notes, clean, roast and tannins. Silky bitterness. Bravo!
