Maple syrup (that I could smell from half a meter away), vanilla, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with brown head. Very sweet maple syrup, vanilla, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay and alcohol flavor. Nice body and balance - the 12% is hidden well. Toes the line of being cloying.
