Bottle from Skinnyviking (bb.16/4-08). One-finger, off-white head resting on a nice mahogany body. Plain malty aroma leading to a flavour dominated by dark berries with spicy notes. Short, malty endnotes. Early June in sunny Copenhagen was certainly not the right time to drink this one (02.06.2008).

Hazy chestnut color; big creamy head. Strong spicy aroma (cinnamon over all) and strange fruitness (raisins and oranges, somehow). Medium body, strong caramel flavor, quite dry at the end, and some spices; it’s also soapy and artificial, with a touch of yeast. Chaotic and unbalanced.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy reddish with a fully diminished head. Dark berry fruity aroma. Strange berry, malty and chocolate flavoured. Finish is much the same in a strange herbal spice blend. Strange spice and herbal brew.

50 cl. bottle : Oh boy, sceptical right away. Tried hardly to poor the beer with a decent head but it ended up leaving no head or lacings at all. Aroma is cloying sweet from malts, berries & spices. Though it tastes funny of berrries & cinnamon & has a slightly sour edge I dont believe its infected. Flat carbonation. This is truly a weird mix of ingredients - cascade hops is supposed to be involved in this mess as well. Im leaving my apartment to go see some buddies in a minute so I drink it up. Otherwise, on a monday night it would have made companionship with my toilet!

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Hazy, orangey brown with a beige head. Very spicy aroma - cardamom. Medium body with lightly burned caramel accents, lots of spices, a little salt and a vague acidity. Dry, burned finish. 110108 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Hazy, light brown with a rough, off-white head. Lightly tart aroma with a whiff of cinnamon. Medium body, sweetish caramel notes with some fruit and then a lightly tart underlying note indicating infection. 7/2/4/2/10=2.5 290407

Vintage 2007. Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin white head. THe aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, burn malt, and spices - especially cinnamon. THe flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of spices - primarily cardemomme, but also a note of cinnamon. Definately improve comparing to the 2006 version.
Vintage 2006. Bottled. An unclear ver dark brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet herbal combined with notes of licorice root and cinnamon. The flavor is sweet malty, but also with an acidic note and some plastic - was it burnt during the boil? [5/2/3/3/5=1.8]
