250ml cask conditional, enjoyed in the bier garten of the brewpub. A few patchworks on the surface. Dark, almost black body. Dark malty to the nose. Flavoured with dark fruits and tart berries sustained by roasted malts. Dark fruity bitter endnotes. OK, but a bit thin and a little bit out of tune (Copenhagen, 14.05.2009).

On tap. Black and opaque with a small light brown head. Aroma of hard roasted malt and licorice. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, hard roasted malts and ashy accents with an edge of coffee. Ends fairly malt bitter. Not much hop hop character in spite of the dryhopping. Has a vague underlying tartness which I bet comes from the malt also - Weyermann Carafa 2? 210409

Draft. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with stron notes of roasted notes, chocolate, and some hops and hints of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hard roasted malt as well as chocolate, leading to a dry roasted and bitter chocolaty finish. The body is thin.

Roasted malt aroma and mild citric hoppy note. Mild marmelade flavoured initially - classic flavour note I pick up with hoppy porter/stouts. Citric and bitter flavoured. Roasted and light chocolate as the main impression. Roasted and hoppy acidic and bitter finish.

On cask at the Brewpub. Black beer with a small tan head. Delicious aroma of citrus hops and licorice-dominated roast malt. Rather dry roasted flavour with plenty of citrus hop flavour and hop bitterness.
