Not quite Christmas morning anymore but we slept in then spent the rest of it playing with my little one while she enjoyed her new toys... Hardywood Christmas Morning 9.2% Imperial Milk Stout with spices & coffee A brown so deep it’s virtually black with a rusty wisp of foam. The aroma on this is incredible with fresh cinnamon coffee & gingerbread. Fantastic flavor of perfectly melded Christmas cookies up front then sweet sweet coffee to perk you up. Hope this is available next year as I can see this becoming a Christmas Day tradition.

Super dark brown coloured body with a very thin, only single centimetre tall rich tan had. Aroma of undeniable spice hit with allspice, anise, spruce, a dash of canella and some cloves, but the sugars are the strongest here with pitted fruits, chocolate, molasses and a lot of sweet candy sugar noticeable that really makes this rich in the nose. Full-bodied; Super rich malt body strikes first with a ton of roasted malt and a rich, almost syrupy bite from the sweetness that hits as maple syrup, molasses, deep milk chocolate and a great deal of pitted fruits, but the alcohol shines through next, then comes the super deep spice components that show the canella and allspice the strongest, but also some nutmeg and cloves towards the end - very nice throughout. Aftertaste is very rich of course with all the sugars hitting nearly at the same time and bringing out the syrupy and complex roasted and caramelised sugars out along with the pitted fruits like dates, figs and prunes. Overall, a very nice, super rich and elegant beer that shows nicely, especially at this time of the year! I look forward to drinking more of this, especially when I can keep it cellared for a few years and drink it at the right time. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased by one of my hockey teammates at Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia, sampled on the roof of my hockey rink on 18-December-2019 - Thanks Alex!

25/12/2019. Bottle from Crafty Fellas enjoyed Christmas Morning. Pours thick black with a rich tan coloured head. Aroma of roasted coffee, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, malt, dried fruit, lactose and light ashy notes. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Full bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation. Very nice.

Taster pour at a bottle share - 2017 vintage thanks Stacey. Appearance is dark brown with no sparkle thin cap of light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is mild chocolate and ginger bread along with lightly bitter mild coffee. Taste is as aroma. Mouthfeel is light bodied with thin texture soft carbonation nice warmth and finish as taste. Overall kind of thin and the flavors don't all work together for me. OK.
