This beer is a light bodied, easy drinking ale. We use real raspberries late in fermentation, giving this beer a mild fruit flavor while keeping a very balanced malt profile. This may not be what some would expect from a “fruit” beer, but our brewers make good beer; not fruity, carbonated malt beverages. Our motto is, “beer first, fruit second”.

Bottled. Deep golden colour, not much head. Aroma is blueberry, malts and hops. Flavour is quite blueberryish with dark berries and malts. Mild berryish beer, but still quite nice.

Pour is a hazy red with a large white head. Aroma is a nice raspberry. Flavor is at first raspberry but it fades quickly to just a plane watery beer. It held promise at first but quicky faded to boring real fast.

Bleah...tastes awful, like a cleaning solution or something. Pours a reddish-brown with thin head. The raspberries are present in the the aroma, but the flavor is a terrible combination of beer and fruit, with neither winning the battle. Glad I was able to buy this by the bottle and not have to purchase a whole six pack! Not recommended.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of alexsdad. Thanks! Pours a hazy pinkish orange. Looks rather offputting, kinda like Bud Chelada. Fortunately that’s where the similarity ends. Medium fizzy and foamy white head with good head retention and lacing. Aroma of mild sweet and tart raspberries with a creamy nearly cheesy note. Nearly like cheesecake. Taste is very similar... mildy tart raspberries with a creamy note. Some light malty notes as well with the faintest bit of toaste. Medium bodied. Good.

Aroma is rather raspberry-ish. Cloudy almost brown and murky from the sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Does have that raspberry background on the initial taste but that is soon overidden by typical ale attributes. Seems to be much higher in the alky than the 4.5% listed here. Tartness is apparent but not the tartness associated with sours, its more like an unsweetened Koolaid drink. Decent carbonation for a hopped beer. Too much hops for a fruit beer and too much hops for a lager lover. Has a medicinal medium length finish.

Tap. Poured a reddish amber with a white head. Aroma was dominated by raspberries but there was an undertone of bitterness. Raspberries start sweet and then become more tart through out the beer as there is also a touch of hops underneath. I liked that the raspberry was by no means over powering and there were still some "beer flavors" to the beer. Didn’t taste like cough syrup like some fruit beers.

12 oz. bottle from the loose rack at Sam’s. Smells malty when I pop the crown, so the DH guys got that part right. Pours golden to brassy yellow with just the slightest tinge of pink, and a fizzy brief head. Once poured, the raspberry scent pops through. More razz in the first sip. But not much. Some decently detectable malt, though hops are light; still enough to keep the fruit finish subdued. A bit of dryness like a blush wine. Carbonation is a little too strong here; I’m thinking this could improve with a smoother mouthfeel. But it’s pretty decent.

Light red color. Thin and watery. There is some raspberry but very little of it. A little sweet. It needs more body and flavor. As it is, it is a light fruit beer.
