[2/16/15] Draught at Cameron’s Inn in Half Moon Bay. Clear amber. Aroma of malt and some hops, a bit stale. Flavor has sweetish malt, a caramel hint, light graininess and some bitter hops, slightly stale. Medium-bodied.

12oz bottle. A real throwback. Pretty much in a different realm than say, Zombie Dust. Shows the influence of British brewing culture on 80s, 90s breweries. Bland earthy hop and malt combination. It is balanced I suppose, but the end product is pretty bland. I’d like to believe this was a better product in the 90s..but who knows. Caramel malts a little heavy. OK, but very old school.

Aroma: Fresh floral and citric hoppy and some fruity notes.
Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet, and a moderate fresh bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Mild malty, citric hoppy and fine fruit.
Overall impression: Nice tasty and fresh ale.

Leicht trübes bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Es riecht dezent hopfig, fruchtig, blumig. Geschmack fruchtig malzig, Obst, sehr angenehmer herb fruchtiger Abgang.

Draft at One Market Restaurant in San Francisco. Slightly hazy amber golden brown with off-white head. Aromas of toast, biscuit, citrus, light floral hops, caramel. Tastes of citrus, grapefruit, biscuit, floral hops. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty good.

Clear, extreme orangey, deep golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. fully integrated, citrusy, fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of mandarine, orange, caramel malty basis, a touch of pine. Taste is bitter and citrusy hoppy, orange, mandarine, a minimally tart touch of citrus fruit, minimally sweet caramel malty basis, a touch of pine. Very clean, compact, precise and integrated.

Tap at the Roadhouse BBQ, Bangkok. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is light hop, malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a citrus malt hop palate and a short bitter finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. A run of the mill pale ale.
