12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale yellow with about a half finger of white head. Aroma of skunk, corn and wet grains. Taste is light sweet. Corn, cereal and a little metal. Medium bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and a halfway decent finish. Overall, I don’t hate this beer. I would choose this any day over any "light" beer out there.

I partook in consuming about 4-5 of these not only during one of my band’s crappy shows playing in front of 9 people, but also at a good friend’s 30th birthday party with the \"Queensday\" theme of all orange attire. No, this really isn’t a beer review but I don’t really care because if you came looking for an honest assessment of High Life I’d feel sorry for you. It’s a cheap, mass produced beer that goes down cold so you don’t notice any taste, merely alcoholic water. I guess it tastes decent, but there are tens of thousands of better beers out there.

Total nostalgia kick here, but High Life hits some long-lost basic American macro swill jones I get every once and a while. Weird toasted corn and grain notes, no hops, overcarbonated as hell, but damned if I’ll turn one down.

Bottle at Ace of Spades venue in Sacramento, CA, on April 23, 2011. Before the Amon Amarth show.Clear pale yellow color, small white head. Sweet malty taste, I’m looking for DMS out of predjudism, but I don’t ind it. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet sugary scent. Not too bad.

Bottled. A light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of brewing cereal and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey and malt as well as a lighter skunky note of brewing cereal. Thanks yespr for sharing.
