Can. LIght grainy malt aroma. Clear gold with a large white head. LIght barley malt flavor. Light body. I may have given the flavor on this one a little more credit for two reasons 1) I had just tried two different light macros 2) This is the very first beer I ever tried.

Tap at the regional US Air Guitar Championship. Poured a clear pale yellowish gold with a large white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a food amount of sweet corn and grains with no discernible hop character. Flavor was similar with sweet corn and grains and not much else.

Big ol’ 32oz can from the local store. Pours clear straw yellow with a big white head and good lacing. Aroma and tastes of corn, sweet malts and honey. Not as bad as I expected, but I remember it tasting much better when I was 16.

June 2008: Another Miller’s product I had the misfortune to encounter while on holiday in Tobago. ’The Champagne of beers’ my arse! Clear 12oz bottle of almost clear looking watery liquid which when poured produced no head or aroma what-so-ever. Why do people buy such tasteless fizzy rubbish? I did, not knowing ’high life’ really means ’low life’ in American brewing advertising. I won’t be making that mistake again.

Originally rated February 2005. Ahhh... the "Champagne of beers". Poured a golden colour with a nice white head and some foamy lace. Aromas of bitter malt and smell of alcohol. Carbonation was looking mighty fine, a bit like champagne. Retention of head is not bad at all. Mmm... mmm... cereal taste, which I know most critics hate, but I love this clean and refreshing taste. It is damn cheap (even cheaper then their Lite) and for summer, is refreshing as hell. O.K. maybe hell is not refreshing, but anyways. I tried this brew with a friend when we used to do our white trash selection of the week, and since then, I have been hooked on it as my affordable redneck swill drink of choice. Sorry to disappoint ! P.S. The one I buy is also brewed by Molson in Canada (very similar tasting to O.V. - same brewer) and is not pushed very well here.
