330ml can from Vinmonopolet Langnes. The oily pour reveals a deep black body, a shiny naked surface and dotted spots on the glass. Inviting smell of liquorice, dark bread and coconuts. Mixed taste character of molasses, nuts, chocolate and earth, vague hints of berries, as well. Warming and lingering finish, slightly roasted. Well bodied. Decent slow sipper on a Friday eve. Maybe a few years in the cellar will improve the enjoyment even further. (Tromsø 23.02.2018).

13.10.2016, tap @ Apollon:
Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet and dry roasted, dark malts, dark sugar, roasted grain, toffee, minerals, toast, chocolate, roasted coffee, hints of ashtray. Taste is slightly sweet roasted, dark malts, dark sugar, minerals, burnt caramel, roasted grain, ashtray, rosted coffee, toast, hops, bark. Longlasting bitterness, slightly dry and harsh burnt mouthfeel. Nice enough, a bit too sweet and burnt. Will probably age very nice...

Complex and powerful evening sipper.
Complete black color with a fine thick beige head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Full body, and a soft carbonation level. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness. Thick oily texture. Many layers of flavor as the temperature changes. Coffee, oak, toffee, roast and chocolate.
