One-third pint on a sample tray, cask ale at the brewpub in Islington. Hazy dark-reddish body, patchy surface, doted spots on the glass. Restrained malt-fruity aromas, grain and dried fruits. Modest taste character of caramel and marmalade added by a spicy touch. Dried fruity endnotes. Strange bitter version. So and so. (London 13.01.2019).

Cask at BH&K Islington, 30/10/17. Murky brown with no head. Nose is lIght toffee, grains, straw, brown bread. Taste comprises toffee, biscuit, faint fruit esters, brown bread. Medium bodied, flat and lifeless, drying close. Pretty rubbish .... need to make more effort!
