Bottle split at Cotts Convention V, from a trade, 08/06/19. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is maple syrup, chocolate, sweet malts, light spice, coffee bean. Taste comprises chocolate, marsh mallow, coffee, dark malts, toffee. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a gentle rising boost. Decent if not top draw ... drinks easy for 14%!

Thnx to Yarric ! Pours black, with a very stable, tanned , creamy head. Smell is strong, roasty, maple, very roasty, sharp , almost ashy back. Taste is full, juicy syrupyness, coffee, strong cloves aroma , kinda overtaking the maple ( where the taste probably originated from ) . Coffee ( mild tartness from the coffee ), roasty. Thick bodied, medium low carbo.

Bottle @ Aaron Returns 2017. Pours pitch black with a medium dark brown head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, roasty malts, maple, vanilla. Taste is bitter roasty, chocolate, vanilla, maple, bitter coffee, almost acidic tartness from the coffee. Pretty nice but a bit harsh on the ashy side for me.
