A crisp and refreshing IPA exploding with fresh floral hop character, named for a somewhat forgotten yet amazing hop variety named Crystal. A unique hopping program gives this beer a massive, clean bitterness and fresh hop aroma bursting with hints of citrus and fresh fruit.

Can pour into barrel glass from Redstone Liquors, Stoneham. Appearance is clear amber with minimal sparkle, 3-finger width rocky foam white head with fair retention and tons of soapy lacing. Aroma is citrus over tropical fruit, with malt base. Taste is citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, mild resin. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, average carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter finish. Overall, decent complexity, particularly to the taste, and balance between sweet and bitter.

Tap at Revolution. Clear dark golden with small off white head. Tropical fruits, quite flowery, aromatic herbs, caramel, biscuits, cane sugar. Interesting aroma! Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Bit over medium bodied with oily feel. Quite different but nice.

22 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Thanks to my friend Ben for gifting this to me from his Chicago trip! Clear golden yellow with around 3 fingers of off-white head. Aromas of tropical fruit, lemon lime citrus, light floral notes. Tastes of tropical fruit, lemon lime citrus, stone fruit, light floral notes, not too bitter. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. Medium carbonation, juicy mouthfeel. Tasty and flavorful fruit forward IPA.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but was a recent release. Pours slightly hazy bright orange color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of huge mango, tangerine, pineapple, peach, papaya, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light caramel, and floral/grassy earthiness. Outstanding aromas with huge complexity of citrus/tropical hops and moderate pale malt balance; with great strength. Taste of big mango, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, papaya, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light caramel, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of floral/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of mango, tangerine, pineapple, peach, grapefruit, papaya, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light caramel, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity of bright juicy citrus/tropical hops with moderate pale malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome IPA. All around great complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.
