A Pale Ale brewed with an abundant amount of 2 row and red wheat with the addition of specialty malt for a beautiful golden hue. Fist City® has hints of citrus and grapefruit notes with a solid malt backbone to smooth the light bite of hops. This Chicago Pale Ale is meant to be a supremely drinkable brew for those who love hops. Magnificent California hop aromas play in perfect harmony with this beer’s extremely satisfying finish.

Can shared by Adam, thanks! Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has notes of grass and earthy citrus and a light wheat backbone. Flavor has lots of earthy light fruit and citrus with a note of wheat and a bit of grain.

Tap at Harenohi. Deep gold with a medium, fine head. Big lemony nose, orange, light biscuits. Sweet and very fruity flavor, juicy orange, a bit tropical. Crackery, bready malt. Full body. Great fruity juiciness makes it seems fruit is added, though I guess it isn’t.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell. This brew is a clear orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a creamy film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grapefruit, herbal hops and toasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Location: Draft at the brewpub, 7/16/14
Aroma: The nose is fruity, and a little hoppy, some pale malts as well
Appearance: This one pours a hazed orange color with and average sized head
Flavor: The taste is much the same, decent hoppy bitterness, fruity, some sweetness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a decent feel, with a lively carbonation
Overall Impression: Overall, I thought this was a solid Pale Ale. It wasn't my favorite example of the style, but it is a nice beer.
