Bottle. Etre Gourmet. Deep, dark, orangey gold. Pretty hazy. Thin, dense, off white head. Nose has that sweet, stinky Fantome yeast, with lemon juice, white pepper, and soft, fruity spice. A little buttery. Some granary bread. Taste is slightly sour, and bready, with some lemon rind bitterness. Plenty of grainy, soft spice sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel. Some astringency. Dries out as it goes along. Gets peppery and slightly tangy toward the finish. Never loses the sweetness from the yeast. Tasty beer. Love me a Fantôme!

Capped and corked 75cl bottle on 12th July 2016: cheers Mat for sharing this. Poured a hazy golden orange with a thin white topping. The aroma was yeasty and hinted on a citrus sourness. The sourness however did not materialise anywhere nearly as much as the nose intimated. A decent, spicy, tart (but not sour), semi-citrusy saison.

75cl bottle from the brewer, shared at Shrewsbury Beer Share, July 16. Pours hazy orange with a light, breezy sweet yeast aroma. Taste is typically spicy with nice crisp fruit and soft yeast. Fresh summery saison.

10/V/16 - 75cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home, Amy's visit - BB: 2018 (2016-519)

Clear orange beer, big creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: peppery, spicy, dry, bit dusty smell. Typical Fantome saison smell. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bit sweet, malty, some alcohol, quite some apples, bitter touch, spicy on the tongue. Aftertaste: grassy, bit yeasty, quite a lot of coriander, some alcohol.
