Poured from 473mL can (pkg 01/14/2021; thanks fiulijn). Near black with beige head. Bargain bin drip coffee, some roast, touch of soy sauce, no maple syrup. Probably just okay when it first came out, but also seems to have deteriorated with age. Meh.

473mL can, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out lots of maple upfront, with subtle coffee and a touch of cinnamon. Flavour is full of maple, with a bit of spicy cinnamon and gentle coffee. Medium-high residual sweetness. The body is sticky and oily, but not all that complexity.

Jet black with a decent beige head. Dark chocolate and some maple. Sweet, bitter chocolate, maple and a long bitter finish.

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown colour, near black. Smooth, quite full bodied, the character is essentially coffee, with a big roast punch, and some comforting warm alcohol. Unpretentious, and not a big contender in this year's RIS bonanza, but it's well done and it serves the purpose.

Has great black body good beigm, smells of sweet licorice, weedy hops working well with molasses. Taste is Nice fruity hops on deep oily barley, chewy, lingering licorice, oily, could be more crisp. Quite nice.
