Das Murauer Bockbier ist ein starkes, vollmundiges und süffiges Bier. Die Auswahl erlesener Rohstoffe aus Österreich und das besondere Brauverfahren machen es zu einer Spezialität unter den heimischen Bieren. Das Bockbier ist stärker eingebraut und hat einen hohen Stammwürzegehalt. Es kann als geschmeidig und zugleich kraftvoll, als einschmeichelnde und als eine einzigartige Verführung beschrieben werden. Dieses Bier wird in der Vorweihnachtszeit ausgeliefert.

330ml bottle at home as Murauer Beat Bock. yellow clear color. small white head. smells of boiled corn, light sweetness and light flowery, some honey notes. full body, very soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes malty sweet, honey, some citric notes, also light corn and rather boozy. finishes with bitter-sweet citric notes. OKish, the corn notes on the smell are kinda weird, taste is rather sweet and overall boring.

Bottle from Billa in Kittsee. Deep golden color with small white head. Sweet malt, honey in aroma. Sweet malt, honey, candies, alcohol.

Süßer, hell malziger Beginn. Die Süße schwindet, eine trocken holzige Note ersetzt sie. Geringe Hopfigkeit, dumpfe Süße, Durchschnitt. 7/7/8/8/7/7

06/01 From an Eurospar in Graz. Pale golden bodied with small head. Very nice aroma of sweet honey malt, quite similar to Gosser bock I had some moments before. Flavor is sweetish, malty, fine but quite thin bodied. Alcohol is again well hidden. Finish is following the flavor, quite short. Good beer, but missing a lot of body and much less tasty than the bock I had just before.

0.5l bottle courtesy of and shared with heavy, who brought it from Austria (thanks!) Poured a yellow-golden colour (surprise surprise) with a medium to small white head. Grainy/malty nose, a bit hoppy. A fine malty taste, but hops are just an afterthought, lending maybe some light acidity from time to time. The alcohol cannot be felt all that much, and this is dangerously drinkable. Still, I expected more. Not the best example of this style.

Bottled(500ml). -nice and tasty bock with nice alcohol hints, good and warmy alcohol finish, little white head
