Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - opaque black with slightly off white head. Nose - big coffee bean thing with just an edge of chocolate getting in there. Taste - lots of coffee but chocolate getting more of a leading role. Lactose missing in action. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied. Dry lightly burnt finish. Overall - ok but too coffee dominated.

Bottle from Beers of Europe shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear dark brown with a thin off-white head. Strong coffee aromas, espresso. Taste is coffee and chocolate. Where's the lactose? Coffee dominates, and it's a bit thin.

25/1/2019. Cask at the 10th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours clear dark brown with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of coffee, boiled veg and sugars. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, watery texture, soft to flat carbonation. Very disappointing, from a generally higher quality brewer.
