Dunkler Weizendoppelbock mit 8,0 % Alkoholgehalt: 8.0 % und 19.3 % Stammwürze. Ordentliche Portion Malz, ganz minimal strohig.

Bottle picked up from Hier Gibt's Bier webshop Eckersdorf Franconia Bayern and consumed at home Thursday 3rd March 2022, listening to Marc Riley on 6Music we had large Pasta filled with Cream Cheese and Salmon. Pours amber, a very light haze, with a white head. Maltiness from the off is one of the key characteristics, caramel, a little too sweet. Toffee and a little yeasty, some fruity esters, some banana. Quite good but if truth be told I was expecting something a bit better.

0,5 l bottle. Murky copper in the glass, nearly two finger frothy pale beige head. A lot of yeast and wheat on the nose, orange fruity in the background. Taste starts also with a yeast and wheat load, getting a little bit dry. Banana and orange fruity, low increasing dry bitterness. Below average carbonated. Malty and fruity to the end with alcoholic hints and bitterness. Nice one.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass amber coloured, small head. Fine malty yeasty aroma. Starts intense malty, yeasty, not too dry. Mild alcoholic touch. Some fruity hints as well, notes of dried fruits. Finish well balanced. Nice one!

Bottle from Landbierparadies. Dark hazy golden colour, creamy white foam. Nose of banana, lots of banana, caramel, bread, toast. Taste is rather sweet, estery, some hints of toast and biscuit. Great!
