Rye and hops, one of beers great combinations! Our Red Rye IPA blends the spicy characteristics of rye malt with the bold flavors of American hops. Chinook, Columbus, Centennial and Simcoe work to create a fantastic hop experience, while the rye imparts a crisp and refreshing finish. Red Rye IPA is a medium bodied ale with a rich caramel hue and zesty distinctive flavor.

Can from the Layton state store. Dark orange with off-white head, medium body. Aroma of sweet malt and citrus. Rye predominates the taste, but there is also caramel and pine. The finish is grapefruit and pine, very nice.

16oz can pours with a murky deep copper body that supports a tan head. The modest aroma offers up pine hops, a spicy rye sort of note and then a thin blend of grapefruit and floral hops. The taste delivers a decent size resiny pine hop bite only somewhat tempered by a thin sweet malt sensation. To midway a rye twang, grapefruit and floral hop bitterness surface in an effort to compete with the big resiny pine hops. The pine hops and rye note linger into the after taste. Not bad.
