Sold as Mr George’s Ruby Porter in the US due to trademark issues. A dark ruby beer with a rich flavour and spicy finish. The hop grist adds a hint of citrus to complement the roasted malt character. Dark, Delicious and Delectable.

Bottle at WBF-Raleigh on 04/24/2010 as Mr. George Ruby Porter. Clear ruby body with a small frothy off-white head. Dry roast and chocolate aroma. Sweet chocolate and dry roast flavor. Medium light body with moderate carbonation.

500 ml bottle sold as Mr George’s Ruby Porter from Country Club (wish it was Dark Lord). Clear dark rusty brown with a medium tan head that disappates quickly. Nose of coffee and caramel malts. Flavor is coffee and caramel with a little peppriness and light bitterness towards the end. Quite a decent porter.

500ml bottle. Pours near pitch black with a small, frothy head. Aroma is chocolate and some coffee malt. A little watery. Some chocolate to taste, strong bitter finish

Sample at Copenhagen beerfestival. Medium head with medium duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are malt, hops, chocolate and fruits.

Bottle as Mr. George’s Ruby Porter. Pours dark garnet with a large foamy beige head. Aromas of darker malt and citrus. Medium body with mildly foamy carbonation. Flavor is bitter dark malt with a little fruity/citrus hop. Little hot spicy bits. Quite flavorful. Very different from USA porters. Very nice drink.

Dark brown, almost black beer with a thick, fluffy head. Aroma of dried dark fruits, raisins, figs, slightly sweet roasted malt. Very strongly roasted flavor, burnt well with medium sweetness, a touch of citrus sourness, spicy. Lots of dried fruit, Dry roasted malt finish, burnt. Superb balance. A marvelous beer. Great with cheese.

Clear dark ruby with beige head. Caramel / toffee aroma. Full body well carbonated. Very sweet foretatse transitioning to a dark roast malt finish. Little bitterness or complexity, too sweet, but good.

Dark red-black colour. Roasted malt aroma with some floral notes too. Dark, bitter mouthfeel from the roasted malts and the hop. Very little sweetness. Bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber/brown color with a small longlasting off-white head. Has a roasted malty hoppy chocolate aroma. Roasted malty caramel and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty caramel finish wit some hints of chocolate in the aftertaste.
