Bottle at home with Lyoli. Pours a beautiful, rich ruby with a weak, white head. Dark fruits in the nose, some malts, slight metal. Medium sweet flavor, lightly fruit, a bit of metal, some bread, mild leafy bitterness. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes a bit dry, still some metal, bitterness on the sides of the mouth, lingering toast and light grapes. Decent beer.

Cask@GBBF2010. Amber colour with small off-white head. Aroma and flavour is quite much those of a typical bitter with just some slightly more bitterness added.

although im a big fan of english pale ales, this was a little too malty for me. the sweetness of the malts were a little over the top especially in the second half of the beer. tried this one with some local curry, just to get the full experience, and even with the gentle spiciness of the food wasnt enough to cut down the sweetness. a nice beer, but i still prefer epa’s that are at least a little more balanced.

En fantastisk premium bitter. Mycket blommig och fruktig i aromen, en lagom maltsötma och välbalanserad beska.

Deep amber color with an orange tint. Strong caramel malt aroma, with very good hops. Some dried fruit as well. Very nice amber malt, caramel/toffee, lots of hops in there as well. Very big all around. Nice fruit, spicy, peppery. Very nice balance. Predominately hoppy, but very good malt as well, which puts it past a lot of other bitters. Strong hop finish, long-lasting. Very nice.

Cask, Belvedere, Liverpool. Dark copper colour with no real head to speak of. Rather thin mouthfeel. Caramel malty aroma and flavour with minimal hop and just not enough happening in any department. Disappointingly dull.
