Deep amber in colour, Old Winter Ale is a strong beer with a malt, cookie and liquorice aroma. The prominent Crystal malts add sweet, nutty flavours, balanced by floral notes from Target, Challenger and Northdown hops.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein kupferfarbenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, nussig, würzig, leicht alkoholisch. Geschmack röstmalzig, fruchtig, würzig, Karamell, nussig, alkoholisch.

Beautiful deep copper with massive off-white head. Apple, light roasted malts, herbal hops and some spices. Light bodied, full carbonation. Taste is good balance between sweet and nice bitterness in the finish. Good stuff.

Typical British beer, bit malty and a bit bitter. Also a bit flat though, like it stood too long in the English rain.

500ml bottle. Clear, deep reddish, dark copper colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweetish malty aroma, notes of toffee, cautious hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet malty, cautious hints of toffee, dry and bitter hoppy overtones.

Cask@Amager ølhus, Cph - copper brown pour with a small off-white head. Roasted caramel malts, some toffee, slight hop nuances, dried fruits. Decent brit winter ale.

(Keg at Black Door, 20131222) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was small, dense and almost white. Aroma had malts, caramel, sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, raisins, hops and bitterness. Aftertast was sweet, malty and bitter. A tasty winter warmer.

50 cl. bottle poured in to a snifter. Dark amber colour with a bubbly, off-white head. Sweet aroma with nuts, caramel, toffee, a vinous note, light coffee and spices. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture an a soft carbonation. Finishes sweet with caramel malts ad spices. Nice winter warmer.
