His standards were strict, and his decision determined what was in or out; he was gatekeeper to the masses. But we’d like to think we would’ve won Terry over with this, a complex mix of dark malts with lashings of coconut threads and cacao nibs. Fitting tribute to a good man who loved a good stout.

440ml can from Monster and Beer, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy, light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light smoke, ashtray. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liqourice bitter, with a rich roasty, chocolate, light dry coffee, earthy, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Somewhat light for a stout, but filled with bags of nice, fresh, hoppy goodness!
