Purchased at Wilburs Total Beverage in Ft Collins Colorado.

I was looking for some low alcohol English Bitter brews and this one was the first that caught my eye.

No indication of its age on the bottle but it pours a clear light gold with a 1 finger head of foam. Very good head retention and there's some good lacing.

Smell wise, it fits the style very well. Some sweet malty tones and a more than adequate nose of fruit. Seems promising.

The taste is nice. I get big flavours of biscuit up front followed by some fruit and some lemony hops that comprise most of the finish. Good medium mouthfeel for the style and the carbonation is light. Hmmm....this is pretty tasty however "old" it is and I find it very drinkable. Still, I doubt that the bottle I'm drinking from would be found to be impressive by my cousins from across the pond. It just doesn't have that "freshness" factor that I look for in all the brews I try. Oh well, a 3.6%abv brew *is* very delicate, to say the least, and the fact that I enjoyed it probably says how good it must taste when sampled fresh. It's a good one, for sure.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Ocado. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose has sun-kissed pale bread, a little dough, faint lemon. Light sweet flavour with notes of pale grains, straw, citrus peel. Light bodied with average carbonation. OK balance to finish, some cereal, biscuits, dried dough, hay, mild bitterness. Very basic but it drinks fine.

Cask at Prince of Wales, Farnborough. Aroma? Light chestnut. Dregs of a frothy white head. Initial sweetness develops a hippy/malty edge. Light. Watery. Smooth finish. Sessionable.

bottle from Bierpost. Clear golden with a mid-sized white head. Malty with nice fruity hops. Light and refreshing summer beer.

Cask at the Prince Albert, Ely. Mid-brown, clear with minimal head. Wood, cereal and nutty aroma. There is a sweetness to the taste, and although it is malt-led, there is a note of simple bitter hop in the finish. A basic recipe but well made and certainly well worth trying.

Kupferfarbenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht fruchtig hopfig. Geschmack leicht fruchtig hopfig nach Citrus, ansonsten sehr leicht, süffig.

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, pine, grain and floral. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.
