500ml bottle shared at a Christmas gathering. Pours clear amber, short-lived white head. Some light floral hop notes, some caramel. Taste is a bit watery and thin. OK as a session beer, but I’d rather sip something with character, than knock back pints of bland stuff.

Clear golden colour. Slightly gassy. Flavour is pleasantly bitter with some floral hop and light citrus. A good session bitter.

50cl bottle from ASDA. An innocuous pale ale. Pale amber in colour with a frothy white head; aroma of slightly stewed malts; malty taste with a light grassy bitterness; and a clean finish. There’s not a lot more to say about this.

500ml bottle from Tesco - Golden with a bubbly head. Aromas are a bit grassy and cereal, with a hint of citrus. Flavours are crisp, lemon with sour apple and an underlying sweetness. Dry, peppery finish. Pretty good.

Bottle from Tesco, Enniskillen [231113]
Light amber, clear, frothy white head that dissipates
Aroma of very soft fruity malt, hint of hedgerow berry fruit, slight hint of custard
Taste of soft light sweet pale malts, some soft twiggy English hops, touch musty, average flavour
Palate - Moderate carb, light body, slight sweet. Finish quite dry, as main flavour, slight custardy note, some more bitter English hop in the tail
Overall - Average supermarket fare

Bottle from Tesco. Some Black Sheep house yeast then some sharp biting hop on the finish. Yep a decent English pale ale with some bitterness on the finish. Some pale malt. Ok.

Full pint, handpulled cask at The Old Bar, Leeds University. Clear amber coloured body. Remaining, low, white head. Caramel on the nose. Malt-fruity flavours, mainly caramel offset by herbal hops. Decent bittersweet finish. Not that thin on the swallow. Ok Brit bitter with session qualities (Leeds 30.06.2013).

500ml bottle. Pours gold with a medium head. Aroma is bready malt, minerals and a touch of boiled sweet. Taste has a touch of minerals to start and a strong, bready malt finish.
