Within the Portland Collection is an exquisite silver firedog which was given to Robert Harley as Principal Secretary of State, 1704. A firedog is a decorative item designed to hold burning logs in a fire, although this silver example was probably never used.
Our Burning Firedog is a robust, dry, roasty porter brewed to a traditional recipe using blackened British malts, and peppery English hops.
