Tap at the Ale House. Totally clear golden with white head. Pils malts, cereals, soft creamy, light grassy and a hint of apricot and orange. Under medium sweet and almost medium bitter. Medium bodied with crisp feel. Better than I expected, this is well made.

light grassy, moderate amount of biscuit character and a moderately bitter finish. A touch unbalanced and sour but still a great beer

(On tap) Clear, golden with a creamy, white head leaving a neat curtain of laces. Aroma of malt and perhaps a whiff of flowers. Medium body with a solid, lightly sweet malt base and a dry finish with a surprisingly discreet bitterness. Not quite as characterful as could be expected from a Bohemian Pils. 070208

Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden. Grassy hops are there, but it’s dominated by bready malt. It’s medium bodied with clean mouthfeel and medium bitterness. It’s more like those modernized, clean Czech lagers, than the good old ones with loads of diacetyl and lots of saaz hops.
