On tap at the cardinals hat, Lincoln. Deep almost black colour with a thin tan head. Roasted malty and vanilla aroma. Not much damson. Taste has the fruity sweetness as well as the roasted bitter malts. Medium body.

Cask at the 2015 National Winter Ales Festival, The Roundhouse, Derby. Reddish-brown pour with a white head. Aromas of chocolate raisin, nuts and dark fruit. Definitely a damson presence in the flavour with a splash of plum pudding in there for good measure. Bitter-malt edge. Interesting.
