Isbjørn er en lys og leskende pilsner. Ølet har mer humlearoma enn de fleste nordiske pilsnertypene, noe som gir en balansert bitterhet og friskhet.
The modern classic, Isbjørn Pilsner, is the best-selling beer from Mack.
Isbjørn is brewed with cold, pure arctic water, which gives a supreme taste to the beer. This is a pale, refreshing pilsner beer with a pleasant, characteristic hoppy flavor. Isbjørn is the perfect companion to grilled meat dishes, and a fantastic thirst quencher on a hot summer day. The beer reflects the rough, arctic climate it is brewed and bottled in. This is symbolized in the design through the majestic, roaring polar beer.
Close your eyes and picture an ice-cold, dark arctic blizzard and enjoy Isbjørn Pilsner.

50cl can from Nordpolet, Longyearbyen. Pours pale golden with a modest, white head. Mild grainy aroma with notes of cooked vegetables and hints of fruits. Moderate to medium sweet with grainy and slightly fruity flavours and a light bitterness. Watery, boring and not much flavour, but drinkable if served ice cold.

Lys gul farge med tynt hvitt skum. Lukter av korn og litt parfyme. Smaker mildt og litt sødme. Lettdrikkelig og litt kjedelig lager.

Appearance: Clear golden color with a white fine head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Mild malty and herbal hoppy.
Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation. Oily.
Taste: Malty, grassy and grainy.

Bottled@AIH40 (from Rema 1000, Kirkenes). Pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grains, hay, wet cardboard and some slight dusty notes. Flavour is very similar in a very thin way. This one wasn’t a big hit...

330 ml bottle. Clear, golden body with a dedcent white head. Very light aroma and not much flavor here at all. Weak malt/grain and almost no bitterness. Difficult to find anything at all to write about besides no obvious faults. Less flavor than other similar pale lagers. Boring. Probably made for the marked of those who actually don’t like beer but would like to have a fizzy yellow beer in their hand. Made uninspired, also rated that way.
