Dark brown, near black with a bubbly tan head and roasted malt and a touch of liquorice on the nose. Lightish bodied, molasses, dark fruit, roasted malt, some nuttiness, coffee and hop bitterness and a dry finish.

Cask-conditioned, served by gravity at the Tewkesbury winter beers festival, 7/2/2014. Near black with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish, milk chocolate, followed by some black coffee and a faint lactose tang, before a dryish finish. Good.
