Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is strong candied fruits with banana candy, estery yeast, floral notes, honey, citrus, alcohol. Very sweet and sugary flavour with a little booziness. Body is above medium. Bit of an oddball French take on a Belgian Tripel, too sweet for my taste but kinda fun.

Clear orange beer, small irregular off-white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very oxidized, lots of orange peel, bit floral, malty, caramel, spicy. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sugary, very oxidized, caramel, malty, bit sweet, orange peel. Aftertaste: oxidized, honey, ripe melon, bitter touch, more oxidation notes.

Bière lourde en bouche, trop sucrée, avec un alcool pas complètement bien intégré et aux arômes simples, il me serait difficile de recommander cette De Sutter. Elle me fait quelque peu penser à une triple moyenne que l'on aurait boosté en alcool puis en sucre pour essayer de contrebalancer cet alcool... le visuel est très correct avec un blond orangé limpide, une effervescence soutenue. Le nez est sur les céréales, le girofle et les céréales. Pas exceptionnel sans être rébarbatif. C'est surtout à la dégustation que les défauts se font ressentir. L'attaque présente une petite acidité de bon aloi car permettant de casser le sucre et venant appuyer une fraîche amertume (34 d'IBU). L'alcool en sous-jacent reste relativement bien intégré à ce stade. Les arômes restent sur ceux présents au nez. La deuxième bouche voit l'amertume régresser et la lourdeur l'emporter avec de surcroît un alcool à 10,5% devenant légèrement agressif. Des arômes d'agrumes s'expriment également davantage utilisation de Magnum en complément de Strissel Spalt). L’arrière-bouche est à la fois douce et lourde alors que le final, d'une bonne longueur est sur un duo alcool/girofle. Pas de quoi tomber zin zin de cette bière.

Bottle shared with Thompson and TomHendriksen. Golden color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, floral, yeasty, sweetish. Hmm don't get more. Mwah. 6-3-6-3-12.

Fles gedeelt door Benzai, geprobeerd met Thompson. Het is is een oranje geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een vreemde wat gistachtige geur. De smaak is zoet, bloemig en wat gistachtig.

F: medium, white, average retention. C: gold, light hazy. A: sweet malty, bit honey, herbal, mellow fruity, bit grassy, spicy, yeasty. T: very sweet malty backbone, herbal, bit honey, toast, spicy, bready, vaguely fruity, obviously the French way to make Abbey Tripel style, drinkable yet so sweet and hardly enjoyable all together, medium to full body, lower carbonation, 33cl bottle from Beerwulf webshop.
